MDH Solar Team consists of a group of students from Mälardalens Högskola. We are going to participate in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia on october 2019. The competition will be performed with our own constructed solar panel car, that is made with specialised components. MDH Solar Team is the second Scandinavian team to compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge throughout history. The team consists of 30 students from different programs. The students can then provide for different rolls in the project which gives us a wide range of competence. Together we will use our knowledge to construct and promote our solar vehicle.
The project is a development project in which the goal is to work towards a sustainable future and also find a way to be more energy efficient in an environmental friendly way.
MDH Solar Team 2017
At the end of september 2017 our fellow team members from Mälardalens Högskolan flew down to Australia to compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challange for the first time. The project started in 2014 and has taken the works of 70 students to complete. The result of 10 000 hours of work got the previous team at the goal on the 14th of October 2017, where they passed the goal in Adelaide and landed in an impressive 5th place in Adventure Class.
